Jacob Peace Memorial Award

This award is established in memory of Professor Philip E. Jacob (1914-1985), who devoted his personal and academic life to the search for peace and inter-cultural understanding.
Dr. Jacob was convinced that war and the preservation of human values are incompatible with each other. He tried through scholarship, teaching, and public service to strengthen bonds of international cooperation and the processes of peacemaking.
