Meeting Facilitation Service
Purpose
Using the facilitation process to provide a constructive and meaningful discussion which will identify areas of agreement, development understanding about challenging issues, and help a community to develop a plan of action or solve a problem.
Service
In order to achieve these results PCR will provide meeting and pre-meeting planning expertise, neutral third party facilitators, and neutral third party recorders, who capture the group “memory” of the meeting.
PCR results are based on the principles of impartiality and regarding the particular project a commitment that the process will be fair to all involved.
Meeting, Design, Planning and Preparation
Meeting planning services include consultations and interviews with the staff of the convening agency and other interested parties to design a process that will satisfy the needs of the project. PCR assists in designing processes for group problem-solving, strategic planning and collaboration, developing the agendas, clarifying the desired outcomes and ensuring the participation of the people who will be affected by the group’s work. It is important to involve a facilitator early in the process. PCR provides facilitator and recorder teams who can function in a variety of group settings. PCR works with the conveners to provide appropriate room, supplies and logistical needs.
